Looking for folks to run our eight remaining (scheduled) sessions of pickup baseball for 7-9-year-olds. Scheduled from 5:30-7 on Tuesday and Thursday in July (7/1 was cancelled); so
We can do up to four people per session (we have 44 kids signed up, so some nights it will need to be older kids on AA field and younger kids on A field). You can do it for volunteer hours or for $30/session. I know all of you have various other things going on, from other jobs to summer baseball, etc., so we're willing to be flexible with scheduling. If you're interested, let me know what days you could make it (as far out as you know), and one of us will confirm with you.
If you've ever been involved with the pickup before, it's definitely a mix of baseball and cat-herding. The goal is to divide up into teams, and just start playing. Parent helpers are very welcome! The only absolute rule is NO KID PITCHING. (They will ask beginning the first minute of the first session, until the last minute of the final session. NO KID PITCHING.) Pitching is to be done by the coordinators or a parent. If you want to play 75 minutes of baseball and 15 minutes of pickle, that's fine, too.
If you want to have other friends help, just clear them through one of us, so that we don't wind up with too many people per session.
